About

About

I’m COO of EltexSoft, a boutique software engineering studio, and VP of Product at Rise DDS. I’ve been with EltexSoft since 2017 and became COO in 2021.

I came up through project and product management on products that stayed in production for years: MYFLYRIGHT, HeyTutor, MOTTIV and Greek House. Today I run hiring, contracts, vendors and delivery.

Before software, I worked in content, PR and SEO at Cupid plc in the UK, then in tech-recruiting business development at Indigo. I recruited engineers before I managed them. I live in Lisbon.

How I work

Three principles.

  • 01

    Buy the team that stays.

Continuity, clear ownership and release discipline are worth more than a cheaper rate.

  • 02

    Hiring is operations.

I recruited engineers before I managed them, and I still run hiring.

  • 03

    Say what it really costs.

Plain talk about what to ask, what it costs, and where vendors hide risk.
